Recently I attended an event at Saltworks with Christy Clark to celebrate some of the young entrepreneurs who are creating the future prosperity of British Columbia. I loved seeing her interact with the workers in the research and development of new products that will benefit the environment. She is doing a great job making a clear distinction that the voters need to understand. Economic prosperity is a very serious issue. Public goods like healthcare and education depend on healthy businesses and businesses will only thrive in a supportive environment.
I tell my supporters that anything before the writ period is just noise. Now is when the decisions of the voters get made. Christy Clark has a gruelling campaign schedule around the province and she is rising to the challenge. She has put forward a comprehensive platform and has offered to debate Adrian Dix one-on-one. Unfortunately her opponent has declined and has also declined to release a comprehensive platform. Democracy is best served when the voters can compare leaders and platforms. In the absence of this they should look at the leadership being demonstrated by Christy Clark and consider how well we have prospered over the last few years in comparison to the rest of the world.
