Whitecaps flag flying at City Hall

Vancouver Mayor Sam Sullivan, along with the members of Vancouver City Council, recognized the 2008 United Soccer League’s First Division Champions, the Vancouver Whitecaps FC this afternoon at Vancouver City Hall.
Mayor Sam Sullivan greeted the title-winning team, and the Whitecaps flag was raised at City Hall, before the Whitecaps were acknowledged at the start of the City Council session.
Vancouver Whitecaps fans, executives, players and staff were on hand. The Whitecaps won the USL title on Sunday with a 2-1 over Puerto Rico at Swangard Stadium.
